aNu Aesthetics™ and Optimal Wellness is your #1 choice for overall beauty and wellness. We are Kansas City’s premier aesthetics and wellness clinic since 2011 under Dr. Cristyn Watkins, board certified physician, who practices Aesthetics and Functional Medicine full time at aNu Aesthetics™ and Optimal Wellness along with her dedicated staff.

aNu Aesthetics™ and Optimal Wellness mission is to touch our patients and community with our people, our services, and our personalized care, thereby providing a environment that embraces self-care, well-being, and optimal health.
Dr. Cristyn Watkins is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is also Certified in Integrative, Metabolic, and Nutrition Medicine.
She focuses her entire practice on advanced medical aesthetics, regenerative medicine, healthy aging, and personalized wellness medicine.
She is the owner and visionary of aNu Aesthetics(™) and Optimal Wellness, is involved in every aspect of the practice, working alongside her expert medical and aesthetic staff.
She has always had a huge passion for advanced medical aesthetics and opened in 2011 as aNu Aesthetics in KC North. She practiced traditional Family Medicine for over 10 years, but struggled with her own chronic health issues and wanted to find another alternative to pharmaceuticals and limited answers.
In 2006, after the birth of her twin girls, her health continued to decline and she could not find answers in traditional medicine. Through her personal search for answers, she was called to learn Functional Medicine to help heal herself and others. She then started her second Board Certification and renamed the practice aNu Aesthetics(™) and Optimal Wellness. At that time, she added Anti-Aging & Functional Medicine to her practice and focuses on IBS/IBS, Autoimmune Disease, Chronic Infections (Lyme, Mold, EBV etc), Toxins, Endocrine Issues, Infertility, Insulin Resistance/PCOS, Anxiety/Depression, Medical Weight Loss, Bio-Identical Hormones and more! She blends traditional and alternative options to find the root of the problem and develop a comprehensive plan that is personalized to each individual patient.
As she continued to look for other options to further treat advanced chronic disease, inflammation, pain, fatigue and immunity issues, Dr. Watkins completed further advanced training in 2008 and added Regenerative Medicine to her practice. These advanced treatments include PRP, Ozone, Peptides, IV Nutritional Therapy and Advanced Biologics. She focuses a lot of her recent research and practice on these advanced therapies and is a National Regenerative Medicine Trainer for Nurse Practitioners with RegenEd. She co-owned Regenerative Treatment Centers of Kansas and recently transitioned this successful practice to her third aNu location in Leawood, Kansas.
She is fervent in her search for progressive options and is always learning and searching for the next breakthrough treatments in anti-aging medicine and aesthetics.
She is a certified Master Injector by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery in Neurotoxin and Cosmetic Fillers. She enjoys patient consultations, allowing her to discuss all of the aesthetic options with her patients, and performing aesthetic injectables to allow the natural transformation her patients desire. She truly enjoys helping others achieve their desired appearance.
Dr. Watkins is trained in Bio-Identical Hormones, Medical Weight Loss and Functional/Metabolic/
Nutrition Medicine with the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of George Washington University. She has a strong desire to share her knowledge and teach all patients how to achieve a healthy lifestyle. She has treated diabetes, heart disease, thyroid conditions, menstrual and hormone conditions for over 15 years in traditional medicine. Now she can use additional non- traditional options to treat inflammation, weight issues, fatigue, pain, immune related disease, chronic infections, and hormone-related issues.
